In a Deep Plane Facelift, the sagging facial tissue is repositioned to its original youthful position. Excess skin is removed without tension. This is the best lifting method to achieve a natural, non-operated appearance.

Not “different,” not “done” – but looking like the best version of yourself again. The Deep Plane Facelift is the most effective and natural method for lasting facial rejuvenation, especially for advanced signs of aging.
In a Deep Plane Facelift, the deeper facial structures are fully released and repositioned without tension. This demanding procedure requires significant surgical expertise and precision.
Discretion matters. A result that doesn’t suggest surgery in real life – whether at the office, with friends, or with your partner. Instead, our patients hear comments like, “You look fantastic – have you been on vacation?”
A Deep Plane Facelift turns back the clock by many years. Afterward, the aging process continues. No facelift lasts forever.
However, even if the face begins to sag again after many years, you will still look better than if you had never had a facelift.
Thus, a Deep Plane Facelift provides benefits for a lifetime.
The five most important changes after a Deep Plane Facelift.
The Deep Plane Facelift lifts the eyebrows and smooths the skin around the eyes for a rested, alert look.
Precise tightening and optional autologous fat transfer restore full, radiant cheeks as in younger years.
The deep facial structures are lifted, gently raising the mouth corners and emphasizing a friendly, natural smile.
Tightening the deeper layers sharply defines the jawline, giving the face an elegant contour.
Targeted tightening makes the neck smoother and more youthful, without visible excess skin or wrinkles.
Your Appointment Booking
Every facelift begins with booking your initial consultation. You can schedule your appointment around the clock via our online booking system or by phone during our office hours, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 18:00 at 01 358 28 87.
Preoperative Discussion
Once you decide on the surgery, our reception team will arrange a suitable surgery date for you. A second consultation with your surgeon, Dr. Kuzbari or Dr. Arafat – a so-called surgical preoperative discussion – will be scheduled automatically. In this meeting, you will be informed about the pre- and post-operative measures to follow. You will also receive this information in writing in the form of a surgical guide. Additionally, an appointment with one of our anesthesiologists will be arranged. In this anesthesiological preoperative discussion, you will be informed about anesthesia, and blood tests will be conducted. Further examinations may also be requested if necessary.
The Surgery
On the day of the surgery, you should not use facial creams and must arrive fasting, meaning no eating or drinking for 6 hours prior. Clear water may be consumed in small amounts up to 2 hours before the surgery. Ensure you avoid blood-thinning medications 10 days before and after the surgery. You will receive a list of medications to avoid from us. We ask you to arrive at the Kuzbari Center promptly at 06:45 on the day of the surgery. You will be greeted by our team and escorted to the ward. Typically, patients spend a maximum of two nights in our clinic. Your surgeon, Dr. Kuzbari or Dr. Arafat, will meet you and mark your face with a surgical pen while you are seated. Most patients feel a bit nervous at this stage and find it reassuring when their surgeon reviews the process with them again. In the preparation room of the surgical ward, your anesthesiologist will also speak with you before you are taken to the operating room, where you will soon fall into a deep sleep.
During the surgery, your surgeon is supported by 4–5 medical professionals. We take our time during the procedure, using state-of-the-art medical technology and high-quality instruments and materials, in line with our motto: bespoke work, not mass production. Typically, we do not use drains during the surgery. These are replaced by “quilting stitches” in the skin, known as a hemostatic net, which reduces the risk of bleeding and facilitates skin placement. The head is then loosely bandaged with sterile swabs and cotton.
Comprehensive Aftercare
After the surgery, you will be taken to our modernly equipped recovery ward, where you will wake up under constant medical supervision. Once you are awake, responsive, and your vital signs are stable, you will be transferred back to the ward. On the ward, you will gradually recover from the surgery and anesthesia. Your first steps out of bed will be assisted by our experienced nurses. Most patients can take short walks along the ward corridor the day after surgery. Pain medication will be provided during this phase to manage the tension pain from the surgery. Most patients stay with us for a maximum of two nights.
The Weeks After the Procedure
On the day of discharge from the clinic, our team will again inform you, both verbally and in writing, about the measures to follow at home. In general: take it easy in the first few weeks and avoid all physically strenuous activities. You can wash your hair without issue the day after discharge. We will also provide pain medication, as most patients need it during the first week. If questions arise at home, our team is happy to answer them by phone. Your surgeon is also available by phone for urgent questions. Suture removal typically occurs in two stages during a follow-up appointment at the Kuzbari Center. At this point, you may still look “operated.” You should expect a social downtime of 3–4 weeks. After this period, with loose hair and makeup, you can participate in social activities. Typically, you will look significantly better than before the surgery. The ideal result of a facelift is visible after 6 months.
A Privilege Just for You
As a patient, you enjoy lifelong care – a privilege that accompanies you for life. Whether for care recommendations, touch-up treatments, or simply to stay in touch – we are here for you and reserve exclusive appointments for you.
A facelift is a personal decision that raises many questions. At the Kuzbari Center for Aesthetic Medicine, we take your concerns seriously and answer the most common questions clearly and understandably. From preparation to the procedure to aftercare – here you will find all the information to confidently begin your journey to a rejuvenated self.
There are two simple criteria to help you decide whether a facelift is appropriate for you.
Criterion: The aging changes that bother you can only be satisfactorily addressed by a facelift. It’s important to understand that while a facelift is a highly effective method of facial rejuvenation, it is also an invasive surgery. It is only appropriate if the signs of aging cannot be adequately corrected with less invasive methods. At some point, minimally invasive treatments like fillers reach their limits. More of them can make the face look unnatural. That’s when it’s time to consider a facelift.
Criterion: The aging changes must personally bother you significantly. A facelift is a lengthy surgery with a recovery period and social downtime. It is only appropriate if you deeply desire the correction of these aging changes.
There is no ideal age for a facelift. Age-related tissue sagging occurs at different rates for everyone. Genetic factors, significant weight fluctuations, and other environmental factors play a role. Noticeable facial sagging can begin as early as age 35, though a surgical facelift is rarely appropriate at this age. In some cases, a facelift only becomes necessary after age 70. Most of our patients are between 50 and 70 years old.
Most patients require pain medication for the first 3 to 7 days after surgery. Most describe the pain as a feeling of strong tension.
Depending on the extent of the lift, the social downtime is typically 3–4 weeks. After that, you can appear in public with makeup.
The usual answer is 8 to 10 years. However, aging occurs in spurts, and facial tissue may sag earlier in some people and later in others. Even if sagging reoccurs after 10 years, you will still look better than if you had never had a facelift. This means the surgery provides lifelong benefits.
Yes, but this is usually a compromise procedure. The jawline and excess tissue under the chin are much better corrected in combination with a facelift. Therefore, we usually perform a neck lift and facelift together.
The cost of a facelift depends on the complexity of the procedure and any simultaneous combined surgeries. We calculate the costs individually. More details here.
No, that’s exactly the goal of the Deep Plane Facelift: a natural, fresh appearance without visible signs of a lift. Your face won’t look “pulled” or artificial, but simply rested, youthful, and harmonious. By tightening the deeper tissue layers, your facial expressions remain fully intact. You look like yourself, only younger.
The scars from a facelift are placed to be barely visible. Typically, they run along the hairline at the temples, in front of the ear, around the earlobe, and end behind the ear in the hairline. This allows them to be well-hidden, even with updos or short hairstyles. If a neck lift is performed in combination, there will also be a small scar under the chin. With the right surgical technique and proper aftercare, the scars usually heal discreetly.
The surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia, and the anesthesia time can last several hours. Thanks to modern anesthesia techniques, a longer anesthesia duration is very safe today. Before the surgery, our anesthesiologists conduct a thorough examination to assess any individual risks. For healthy patients without serious pre-existing conditions, the risk of complications from anesthesia is very low.
